Established as a non-profit charity on 3 continents, the Ufosa Foundation seeks to reach out and aid 30 communities throughout South Africa, uniting them in a far-reaching initial 5-year aid and development programme in Education, Family Wellbeing and Health. Its inaugural UNITY FLIGHT OF SOUTH AFRICA, from which the Foundation gets its name, takes place to focus global attention on the plight of some of the most underprivileged people all over South Africa, not just on isolated areas or causes, and seeks to raise funds from the international community along the way. The UNITY FLIGHT is also a practical communications activity, establishing and linking the Foundation's 30 communities and the various 30 schools, Watch abuse relief centres and health centres in the programme. The Foundaton was conceived by Robert Vallier in 2006 - 30 years after the dreadful Soweto Riots, which history shows marked the beginning of the end of the Apartheid era of South Africa. This CD, and in particular the lyrics of the song Fly Today, reflect upon the forgiveness, understanding and love of the people of South Africa, which are the integral components of the Miracle of the Transformation of the country. The proceeds from this CD go towards funding the Ufosa Foundation's work.
