Dear Friend,
After Plettenburg Bay, which was Community #2 after
Beaufort West (#1) and reported in NewsLetter 05, the next visit by
British Pilot Robert Vallier and his Ufosa Foundation on the first
UNITY FLIGHT OF SOUTH AFRICA found him
in Port Elizabeth.
Robert and the team first visited the teachers and
pupils of the Northern Lights School. They were welcomed
by the choir of the school, which immediately started their programme and
sang 3 songs in celebration of his visit...

Northern Lights School at Port Elizabeth by their choir (left row), with
singing and dancing, and by some of their special needs students
(right), along with teachers and admin staff.
... and then there were some good dance routines to add to
the occasion. Even some of the teachers joined in!
With reading and the establishing of the Library high on
the list of priorities of the Foundation, the team went in to see the very
basic reference books in the room which the Northern Lights presently had
identified as the place for the library...

Library.
... and then Robert consolidated the
association by the formal presentation to the Principal of the School,
Trevor Roman, of a copy of the first book for the 1,000-book Library which
the Foundation is seeking to install.

After the School visit, Robert and the team moved on
to Port Elizabeth's St Francis Hospice. Robert was able to sit
for an hour or so and hear the details of their operation and discuss
their needs and funding requirements...

... and was shown details of their background and aims for
the future. The Hospice was formally welcomed into the Ufosa
Programme.
